Legal Counsel - Commodities

Charterhouse are working with an Energy Broker, with a global footprint a core focus on Green Transition, who are looking to hire a Legal Counsel to cover their business activities across the group.
This role will very much be standalone and will have complete oversight and responsibility for the entirety of the group’s activities. The Legal Counsel will take on a generalist nature, assisting with multiple different areas across commercial and corporate activities.The firm are currently at the start of a key growth phase and will be looking at a new of mergers and acquisitions.
Due to the broad coverage of this role, the Legal Counsel can expect exposure across varying areas such as; legal support and advice across the group’s business activities, drafting commercial contracts, general advice around company structure and formation, overseeing governance and compliance, lead M&A legal DD and other corporate activities.
This truly is an outstanding opportunity for a generalist commercial lawyer, with a strong understanding of the commodities markets, who is looking for a firm focussed on transitioning towards a greener future.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate should be between NQ – 4 years PQE across Commercial Law. Having previously worked in the Energy or Commodities industry would be extremely advantageous but having a passion and interest in the industry is a must.
