Architectural Interior Design Engineer ( Emirati Hire )

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for designing projects, execution and success of delivery within the cost, timelines and required quality.
• Develop design and conceptual layout and visual schemes in perspective views using AutoCAD and 3D software programs for various type of projects considering business requirements based on creative designing and space planning, complying with local authorities regulations, du internal regulations and HSSE standards.
• Comply with the business plan of retail units and ensure the delivery of design as per organization's standard and agreed timelines.
• Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure all required inputs are taken into consideration and incorporated in the design.
• Acquire all required approvals from all internal and external projects stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver tender documents including architectural drawings and bill of quantities (BOQ).
• Support various business units by developing proposals to enhance the work environment and maintain work wellbeing.
• Coordinate with all internal stakeholders such as business, MEP, FM, Operations, Technology, I.T, Branding, etc. for preparing the tender package.
• Coordinate with all external stakeholders such as design consultants, contractors, vendors, and local authorities.
• Visit all proposed project sites, premises, and contactor's facilities for technical evaluation and work inspection.
• Participate in value engineering exercise by proposing alternative materials to meet required quality and allocated budget.
• Maintain a database of projects records, standard construction details for future references and development.
• Review shop drawings, specifications, and construction material submitted by external consultants and contractors to ensure adherence to contract and notifies line manager of discrepancies.
• Project Management from the initiation till close out stages including sites supervision.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in architecture / Interior Design
• Master's degree in architecture / Interior Design / Engineering Management is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of experience with at least 3 years of experience as an interior designer in retail shops and corporate offices.
• Experience in Digital / Telecom companies is a plus.

Skills:

• Knowledge of architecture, interior design and architectural principles and techniques.
• Knowledge of types of building materials and construction methods.
• Knowledge of the methods and techniques of CAD/ Revit / BIM and similar design software.
• Knowledge of design programs including Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
• Basic knowledge of local authorities requirements.
• Basic knowledge of engineering relating to building design and costs.
• Skill in drafting 2D/3D architectural drawings.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
