General Accountant

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Generate accurate accounting reports and present findings in a clear and error-free manner.
• Analyze financial data and summarize the financial status of the organization.
• Identify errors and propose methods to enhance efficiency and optimize spending.
• Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant.
• Evaluate accounting systems and procedures and recommend necessary modifications.
• Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers.
• Contribute to the establishment of financial standards and participate in the forecasting process.
• Provide input for goal setting within the department.
• Prepare financial statements and create budgets according to established timelines.
• Assist with tax audits and the preparation of tax returns.
• Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Process transactions, issue checks, and update ledgers and budgets.
• Prepare financial reports accurately and in a timely manner.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Bachelors degree accounting, finance, or any related field.
• Prefer Arabic speakers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
• Proficient in bookkeeping software, accounting software, and strong typing skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
