Mechanical Supervisor

Job purpose
To supervise safe and efficient execution of preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and repair works for all static and mobile mechanical systems and equipment at ADNOC Aviation depots at civil airports, i.e. all over the UAE, as per aviation standards and manufacturers recommendations whilst ensuring optimum utilisation of manpower and material resources.
Key accountabilities
Mechanical maintenance supervision- Supervises the service, repair and maintenance activities of all mechanical systems and equipment including all pipelines, valves, transfer pumps, measurement instruments, process facilities, air compressors and storage tanks, to ensure that maintenance is carried out in accordance with JIG, company standards and other relevant aviation standards, proper engineering and technical standards and safety and environmental requirements.
- Reviews and allocates all daily work orders received at aviation fuelling stations and storage facilities for any maintenance works required. Coordinates with team manager for scheduling and implementation of required repair and maintenance works.
- Coordinates with end users for all repairs, replacement, modification, calibration, overhaul etc. carried out by tradesmen to ensure smooth progress of all scheduled repair and preventive maintenance works.
- Ensures carrying out regular routine and scheduled inspection and maintenance of all mechanical equipment such as product pumps and pipelines, storage tanks, air compressors and generator equipment, fuel dispensing units. Inspects equipment for signs of corrosion, assists in implementing anti corrosive/protection techniques, maintains records and monitors condition continually.
- Ensures that all breakdowns in his area of responsibility are attended to promptly and equipment is returned to service as soon as possible.
- Ensures all safety precautions are taken and work permits are issued before commencement of the work and the instructions are rigidly adhered to during all stages of the work.
- Ensures that major overhaul of mechanical equipment in his area of responsibility, testing and calibration of equipment components and installations is carried out as per laid down procedures and standards.
- Investigates and reports recurring defects on mechanical equipment in his field of responsibility to his supervisor.
- Performs any other related duties as assigned by mechanical maintenance team leader, as and when necessary.
- Prepares stores requisitions for spare parts required for his area of work.
- Checks stores stock requisition for correct part numbers and specifications, including maximum and minimum levels.
- Ensures that all the jobs are carried out as per aviation operations standards and the laid down work instructions.
- Ensures that the documents in his custody are maintained and updated as per document control procedures.
- Supervise and ensure maintenance and repair of ADNOC facilities in all civil aviation locations in the UAE and strategic customers location including carpentry, painting works, is properly carried out by third party contractors etc.
- Timely raise and highlight to team leader and department manager if any major civil and general maintenance work is to be performed etc.
- Assists in establishing methods, controls and standards for the actual execution of maintenance work.
- Recommends improvements on work methods and keeps up to date with the latest work techniques and standards.

- Evaluates and analyses man hours and costs on individual maintenance and modifications to ensure optimum utilisation of manpower and material resources in implementation of scheduled maintenance programs.
- Diploma in Mechanical.
- 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance department of an aviation fuelling company.
- Expert level competency of aviation equipment and vehicles.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Valid UAE driving license.
