Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Compliance Manager to join our client's team in the real estate sector, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

This pivotal role ensures full compliance with local, federal, and international regulatory requirementsparticularly within the frameworks of ADGM, RERA, and DMTwhile safeguarding the integrity of the company's operations in a dynamic and highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance & Framework Implementation
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies aligned with UAE laws and global standards.
  • Ensure full adherence to AML/CFT regulations, including transaction monitoring, due diligence, and suspicious activity reporting.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in regulations issued by:
  • Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM)
  • UAE Central Bank
  • Ministry of Economy (MoE)
  • Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT)
  • Abu Dhabi RERA
  • FATF guidelines
Audits, Monitoring & Risk Management
  • Conduct internal audits and compliance risk assessments.
  • Maintain and enhance compliance controls to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • File periodic reports and maintain open communication with regulatory bodies such as the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
Training & Staff Enablement
  • Lead internal training programs on compliance, AML requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Oversee KYC and client onboarding processes for real estate transactions.
Independent Administration
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage the compliance function independently with minimal oversight.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's or legal qualification is a plus).
  • 57 years of experience in compliance, preferably within the UAE real estate or financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE compliance laws, AML regulations, and real estate frameworks.
  • Prior exposure to ADGM compliance structures or other UAE free zones.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in compliance tools and reporting systems.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an added advantage.
