What you'll be doing- Technical Leadership & Architecture: Leading the architectural vision for noon's mobile
applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability of our
cross-platform codebase.- Cultivating Product Engineers: Moving beyond task delegation to mentor and grow
Product Engineers—developers who understand the why behind the features and
contribute to the product's success beyond just the code.- Bench Building: Proactively identifying, hiring, and developing talent to build a strong
bench. You will be responsible for succession planning and ensuring the team has the
depth to handle aggressive growth.- Agile Excellence: Operating as a cornerstone in a high-velocity Agile/Scrum
environment. You will lead technical grooming, assist in sprint planning, and ensure that
the team delivers high-quality increments consistently.- Performance Engineering: Championing the optimization of app vitals, specifically TTR
(Time to Render), FPS stability, and bundle size to ensure a liquid user experience
across all device tiers.- Security Standards: Promoting and implementing mobile security best practices. You will
implementing measures like SSL Pinning, secure storage, and code obfuscation.
- Engineering Excellence: Establishing guardrail systems, such as automated
performance regression testing and static analysis to identify potential security
vulnerabilities early in the SDLC.- REST Strategy: Collaborating with Backend Architects to design mobile-optimized
RESTful interfaces that prioritize payload efficiency, caching, and offline-first capabilities.
What you'll need- Experience: 6+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5
- Leadership & Growth Mindset: A proven track record of growing engineers from
SDE-1/2 . You have a passion for building teams and creating a pipeline of future
technical leaders.- Agile Mastery: Deep experience with Scrum methodologies, including a strong
- Product Sense: An ability to think like a Product Manager. You advocate for the user and
- Native Expertise: Deep, under-the-hood knowledge of iOS (Swift/Obj-C) and Android
- Security Awareness: Deep understanding of mobile-specific threats and security
frameworks (e.g., OWASP). Experience with biometric authentication, secure token
handling (JWT/OAuth2), and data encryption.- Performance Engineering: Proficiency in profiling tools (Flipper, Xcode Instruments,
- Tooling & DevOps: Expertise in build tools (Metro, Gradle, Xcodebuild) and CI/CD
pipelines (Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions) for automated mobile deployments.
