Procurement Specialist – Chemicals

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Specialist to be based in Dubai, responsible for sourcing a wide range of industrial and specialty chemicals from global markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in chemical engineering along with hands-on experience in international sourcing, vendor management, and trade practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure chemicals and raw materials from international suppliers across multiple regions
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost optimization
• Manage end-to-end procurement cycle including RFQs, purchase orders, and supplier follow-ups
• Ensure proper understanding and application of INCOTERMS in all transactions
• Coordinate with logistics, finance, and operations teams for timely delivery and documentation
• Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply risks in the global chemical industry
• Maintain supplier database and evaluate vendor performance regularly
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Mandatory)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement/sourcing of chemicals or related products
• Strong understanding of global sourcing and international trade practices
• Good working knowledge of INCOTERMS
• Experience in handling multiple suppliers across different geographies
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
