Job Description
Job Purpose
The MEP Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for Crystal Lagoon, water feature, and aquatic infrastructure projects. The role involves close coordination with MEP Engineers, Civil Engineers, Consultants, and Site Teams to ensure accurate project execution in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for Crystal Lagoon and water feature projects.
Develop detailed layouts for piping networks, pump rooms, filtration systems, mechanical equipment, and associated utilities.
Prepare drawings for water circulation systems, drainage systems, electrical services, and control systems.
Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Structural Engineers to ensure design integration and clash-free execution.
Review consultant drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Revise and update drawings based on site conditions, consultant comments, and engineering feedback.
Assist in quantity take-offs and material coordination activities.
Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures.
Support project teams during construction, testing, commissioning, and handover stages.
Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local authority requirements.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drafting, Architecture, or a related discipline.
Certification in AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM software is preferred.
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of drafting experience in MEP, infrastructure, water feature, swimming pool, lagoon, or utility projects.
Experience preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings for construction projects.
UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Working knowledge of Revit and BIM coordination.
Experience with MEP systems, piping layouts, pump rooms, and water infrastructure projects.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong attention to detail and coordination skills.
