We are now looking for a Senior Principal Digital Twin Consultant to join our Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Muscat or Perth offices.
Major accountabilities of position
Main responsibilities:
Ultimately responsible and accountable for the delivery of well-functioning digital twins to Worley clients. Building and leading the digital twin delivery team. Validate deliverability of the proposals. Support Next Advisory team with critical review of innovative ideas from the practicality perspective.
Job specific knowledge:
An experienced digital twin consultant with understanding of solution and data architecture or data science, data processing, analytics and IoT systems. Track record in delivering complex digital programs that include creation, testing, implementation and scaling of various types of digital solutions in capital projects and operations environment.Specific experience in Asset of the Future (AoF), digital twins and asset performance management is important.
Authority / freedom to act / decision making (including budgetary responsibility)
Extent of guidance or control: Execution role in Worley projectsImpact of decisions on results: The candidate will be held accountable for successful delivery of Worley projects
Position significance relative to total organisation: This role has a key part to play in the move of Worley into a digital world and in building the company's reputation in it.
Roleu2019s metrics: Chargeability, customer satisfaction score, number of pull through projects vs executed projects.
Knowledge, experience and competencies required
Industry specific experience: Relevant years in delivering digital solutions in oil and gas and/or mining industries.
Education u2013 qualifications, accreditation, training: Bachelor's in IT and hands-on experience deploying solutions in one of the industries u2013 oil & gas, mining.
HSE capability: Competent
IT skills: Strong working knowledge of OPC, ETL, IoT and related technologies. Familiarity with Cognite, Bentley, Aveva and/or Hexagon would be an advantage. Strong understanding of solution and data architecture or strong data science background.
People skills: Outstanding communicator and strong ability to manage people and build teams.Other: Team collaboration, strong listening skills, attention to details, problem-solving attitude, diplomatic but firm.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree. Background in process engineering for heavy industries would be desirable.
Minimum 10+ years of experience delivering digital solutions in oil and gas and/or mining industries. Experience defining and executing a digital strategy roadmap for industrial or capital-intensive organizations. 5+ years experience delivering analytics/predictive analytics solutions and/or digital twins.
Strong working knowledge of OPC, ETL, IoT and related technologies. Proven experience in OT/IT convergence including integration of operational technology (SCADA, DCS, PLCs, historians) with enterprise IT systems (ERP, CMMS, MES).
Knowledge of Worley Data Centric Engineering and Design delivery systems would be an advantage u2013 E3D/S3D, SPID, SPI, SPE and SPF.
Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO15926, ISO14224, CFIHOS (facilities handover), DEXPI (P&ID data exchange), FL3DMS (3D models) and CAPE-OPEN (process modelling software interoperability) would be an advantage.
Experience with digital twin and asset performance management (APM) technology implementations.
Experience with change management in industrial settings, including workforce adoption of new digital tools and workflows.
Experience with cloud environments including microservices, IaaS, PaaS, and distributed architectures.
Experience with cloud and on-premise solution security and compliance controls required.
Ability to plan, orchestrate effectively across organizational boundaries.
Demonstrate customer interaction professionalism - listening, ability to ask insightful questions, build consensus, advance opportunities to next level.
Ability to frame customer business and technical imperatives, and inspire confidence with a variety of internal and external constituents.

Technical acumen required for system scalability, availability, and performance activities. Capable of technical deep dives into infrastructure, databases, and applications as needed, yet cognitively agile enough to have strategy discussions with leadership.
Must have agile mindset and understand SCRUM methodology and have worked on a Scrum team.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with corporate executives and technical teams.
Excellent influencing and reasoning skills; good at conflict resolution and consensus building.
Ability to occasionally travel to customer sites.
Experience building and managing high performing teams.
