JOB DESCRIPTION - Terminal Manager
JOB PURPOSE
To manage day-to-day terminal operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant handling of petroleum and petrochemical products. The role is responsible for operational execution, inventory control, vessel coordination, and supporting commercial activities to ensure optimal utilisation of terminal assets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations Management Oversee daily terminal operations including vessel handling, tank storage, pipeline transfers, and truckloading/unloading. Act as Loading Master for vessel operations, ensuring safe and efficient cargo handling. Monitor terminal equipment, maintenance activities, and operational uptime.Ensure strict adherence to SOPs and operational procedures. Manage inventory, stock reconciliation, and product quality control.Commercial & Client Coordination Support tank utilisation and ensure smooth and timely client servicing. Coordinate with clients, surveyors, shipping agents, and internal teams.
Assist in the execution of storage agreements and operational documentation. Liaise with HFZA and relevant regulatory authorities for compliance and approvals.HSSE & Compliance Ensure full compliance with HSSE standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular safety meetings, operational audits, and emergency response drills. Maintain a strong safety culture and drive a zero-incident working environment.Team Management Supervise Shift Supervisors, Operators, and support staff on a day-to-day basis.
Ensure effective manpower planning, productivity, and workforce discipline. Provide operational training, mentoring, and guidance to team members.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (preferred). Minimum 10 years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or terminal operations. Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or senior operational role. Prior UAE or free zone terminal operations experience is strongly preferred.Location – Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah Experience – 10+ years in oil & gas / petrochemical / terminal operations Reporting To – Head of Operations / Operations Manager
