Senior Procurement Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Procurement Officer to support our manufacturing and industrial operations in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for procurement, sourcing, supply chain coordination, inventory planning, and supplier management across multiple manufacturing facilities.

Our operations include steel fabrication, galvanizing, epoxy coating, thermoplastic road marking materials, waterborne paints, aluminum products, robotic manufacturing, and advanced industrial production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, machinery, spare parts, chemicals, consumables, and production-related services.
• Manage local and international procurement activities, including imports from Europe and other global markets.
• Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and manufacturers.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, competitiveness, and reliability.
• Conduct supplier evaluations, performance reviews, and market assessments.

• Coordinate closely with Production, Stores, Planning, Engineering, and Maintenance departments to forecast material requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of critical materials.
• Support demand planning and procurement scheduling to avoid production interruptions.
• Track purchase orders, shipments, deliveries, and customs clearance activities.
• Optimize stock levels while minimizing inventory carrying costs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supply chain functions.

• Participate in technical evaluation and inspection of materials and equipment before procurement approval.
• Coordinate with Estimation and Tendering departments to obtain pricing and supplier support for project bids.
• Work closely with Cost Control teams to achieve cost reduction and procurement efficiency targets.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and company procurement procedures.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Civil, or related discipline).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience in international sourcing, import procedures, logistics, and supplier management.
• Strong knowledge of industrial materials including steel, aluminum, profiles, coils, coatings, chemicals, machinery, and spare parts.
