Assistant Project Manager – Retail Projects & Fit-Out (Contractual role)

• Manage the overall project lifecycle from concept to completion, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, quality benchmarks, and budgets.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveyor to support CAPEX preparation.
• Assist in the preparation of BOQs, tender drawings, tender documents, and facilitate tender evaluation and contractor appointment.
• Coordinate with brand concept designers, consultants, and contractors to develop shop drawings and IFC drawings.
• Liaise with mall management and landlord authorities to obtain necessary fit-out approvals.
• Monitor project progress daily and maintain alignment with project timelines using MS Project & Excel.
• Conduct site visits for inspections (civil, architectural, and MEP) and prepare detailed reports.
• Review contractor payment claims, payment certificates, and project variations.
• Prepare material submittals and sample boards when required.
• Provide operational support during store pre-opening and project close-out.
• Ensure working drawings meet site execution requirements and develop BOQs for tendering purposes.
• Coordinate with MEP consultants for MEP layouts.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering/Architecture/Interior Design, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in retail fit-out or similar project management roles.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality retail or commercial fit-out projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, BOQs, and fit-out processes.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.

• Experience in retail or mall environments.
• Strong understanding of Architectural & MEP drawings and landlord guidelines.
• Ability to prepare sample boards and interpret detailed design drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under tight deadlines.
