Job Purpose:

A Legal Intern at ADCG will support the Legal Department in in a wide range of corporate legal matters across a diversified business environment. As a holding private investment house, the company has subsidiaries operating in various sectors including hospitality, real estate, education, healthcare, and technology.

This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple industries under the guidance of the Senior Legal Counsel. The role is ideal for recent law graduates or students in their final year who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assist in drafting, reviewing, and proofreading legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence (including NDAs, MoUs, and engagement letters for service providers and partners across subsidiaries).
  • To conduct legal research on applicable laws, regulations, and case precedents relevant to the companys business operations, and assist in preparing legal summaries and internal memoranda on key legal issues (e.g., real estate laws, ADEK regulations for education, DOH matters for healthcare, etc.).
  • To support in drafting, reviewing and updating subsidiary governance documents such as shareholder resolutions, powers of attorney, MOAs, and board structures.
  • To assist in due diligence activities for investments, joint ventures, and M&A transactions, including reviewing checklists and organizing documents
  • To assist in compiling submissions to regulatory authorities, maintaining templates for recurring legal tasks, and coordinating notarization, legalization, and attestations of legal documents for UAE and international use.
  • To help maintain and organize legal files and documentation in accordance with internal policies and confidentiality standards.
  • To translate legal documents between Arabic and English as needed.
  • To coordinate with internal departments to gather documentation and signatures required for legal approvals.
  • To participate in internal meetings and support the legal team with meeting notes, minutes and follow-ups.
  • To monitor legal and regulatory updates relevant to the business.
  • To track legal deadlines, court dates, document renewals and corporate compliance requirements.
  • To support the legal team in completing key performance indicators (KPIs) and internal reporting requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Law (fresh graduates only).
  • Strong interest in corporate and commercial law.
  • Must be a UAE National with valid Family book.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English both written and verbal - is mandatory, with the ability to draft, and translate legal documents in Arabic.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills in English.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
