Job purpose

Workshop Maintenance Engineer III (Hydraulic and Pneumatic) will carry out routine maintenance tasks and defect rectification of aircraft components as per company and associated regulatory procedures.

In this role you will

Generic:

• Carry out aircraft components maintenance and servicing tasks in compliance with manufacturer and safety procedures. Ensure that assigned aircraft components are maintained as per latest revisions of approved authority technical publications such as CMM, aircraft documentation, technical notices, quality notices, and engineering procedures manual etc.
• Ensure that personal approvals/licenses are valid and applicable to aircraft components type/scope.
• Determine if tooling/equipment used is serviceable and appropriate for the task and use specialised tooling where required.
• Ensure that troubleshooting procedures/tools used for fault rectification are carried out in a cost effective and efficient manner.
• Ensure that all activities performed are carried out in accordance with all safety rules and regulations and in adherence to company procedures, highlighting deficiencies/requirements through the effective use of reporting tools.
• Ensure all work locations are kept clean and excellent housekeeping conditions are maintained.
• Maintain effective communication with colleagues including managers and senior engineers to ensure a seamless flow of information and to highlight any potential operational issues.
• Manage the performance of staff using performance review process and system. Ensure SMART goal setting, interim/annual reviews and development plans are in place for assigned staff members in accordance with company procedures.
• Attend training/recurrent modules as required to enhance skills and comply with CAR 145 requirements.

Specific functions for hydraulic:

• Responsible to perform, assist, and support maintenance tasks required for hydraulics.
• Responsible for corrective actions, root cause analysis and risk & opportunity analysis of any findings.
• Ability and experience for hydraulic component capabilities build-up.
• Has good knowledge of the function and operation of the aircraft hydraulic components.

Specific functions for pneumatic:

• Responsible to perform, assist, and support maintenance tasks required for pneumatic.
• Responsible for corrective actions, root cause analysis and risk & opportunity analysis of any findings.
• Ability and experience for pneumatic component capabilities build-up.
• Has good knowledge of the function and operation of the aircraft pneumatic components.

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you need to meet the below requirements.

Qualifications & experience:

• Degree in aeronautical subjects/mechanical/avionics/electronic/tech engineering OR aircraft maintenance engineering licence OR engineering apprenticeship.
• 7 years of experience in aircraft maintenance engineering related fields.
• 2+ years as a certifying staff in the relevant area.

Specific qualifications/experience:

• Knowledge in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA V5 or similar CAD/CAM packages. Ability to produce own CAD drawings when need arises.
• Bearing and bushing retention by swaging, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing / surface finish and roughness.
• Hydraulic/Pneumatic - Ability and experience for hydraulic/pneumatic component capabilities build-up. Has strong knowledge of the function and operation of the aircraft hydraulic/pneumatic components/system, and project management experience of related technique.

Generic knowledge/skills:

• Fully conversant with air legislation and legal matters that relate to the operation and maintenance of aircraft to international standards.

Specific knowledge/skills:

• Hydraulic/Pneumatic.
• Minimum one aircraft type approval for hydraulic/pneumatic (A380/B777).
