As Shamal Holding continues to grow, were in search of an Associate - Procurement & Contracts. In this role you will support the procurement department in day-to-day procurement activities across all Shamal corporate functions and departments, including HR, IT, Finance, Investments, FM, Admin, Marketing and Asset Management, while ensuring that the process is consistent, efficient, fair and transparent.
- Coordinate with respective business units to ensure smooth running of operations requirements.
- Carry out all procurement sourcing activities, prepare RFQs, commercial evaluations, price comparisons, award recommendations, and approvals as per the procurement policy and procedures, in alignment with the DOA.
- Handle all procurement requests, process purchase orders, and execute contracts in coordination with legal.
- Negotiate with vendors to obtain completive bids and achieve savings for the requested goods/services.
- Coordinate with vendors & finance to finalize credit applications forms.
- Ensure that payment terms and all other T&C are in line with Shamals terms before creating any purchase orders/contracts.
- Ensure delivery targets are met and avoid any foreseen delay.
- Follow the approved procurement policy and procedure, strategic plans approved by the management.
- Ensure that latest DOA is applied all the time and all documents are signed by authorized parties.
- Ensure all supporting relevant documents are attached to purchase orders/contacts to minimize the internal audit issues due to lack of documentation and noncompliance.
- Use ERP system and purchasing model related to procurement and contracts.
- Coordinate with IT Help Desk for any issue related to ERP system and ensure the raised issues are resolved on time.
- Assist requestors to understand the ERP system functionalities as and when required.
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, CIPS is added advantage.
- 3 years of relevant experience in Procurement.
- Dealing with service providers /contractors, suppliers.
- Expertise in procurement activities, sourcing, team working, excellent communication and negotiation skills.
