Job Description

Job Purpose:

As a Relationship Manager SME at Zand, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and expanding the bank's client base by fostering strong relationships within mid-sized and emerging businesses to drive business growth and meet the bank's strategic objectives.

You will deliver outstanding customer service by offering the Bank's range financial solutions, all while ensuring the management of operational risks and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain existing relationships and solicit acceptable new relationships within the stipulated business strategy for Assets & Liabilities within the SME segment.
  • Achieve the financial & non-financial targets set by the CEO as per Zand strategy.
  • Maintain & nurture existing client relationships while proactively seeking opportunities for expansion.
  • Originate, structure and recommend appropriate products of the bank as applicable.
  • Examine & resolve credit, market and operational risk aspects of the transactions in collaboration with product and risk units.
  • Must be able to negotiate and close new transaction deals with the customers in a timely manner.
  • Build and deepen relationships with existing customers and handling/ reduction of customer complaints.
  • Identify & develop cross-selling opportunities and increase the cross-selling ratio with key clients.
  • Ensure Account Plans are prepared and maintained for all key clients.
  • Ensure all credit reviews are submitted on time and agreed conditions are met.
  • Write credit proposals for new credit facilities, present the cases to the risk management team and internal credit committees and provide support for documentation review and execution.
  • Ensure full awareness of all policies and procedures issued in relation to money laundering prevention and KYC. To be able to detect any suspicious transactions, Money laundering, forgeries etc.
  • Ensure compliance with the above policies on an ongoing basis and report any suspicious transaction immediately to the supervising officer.

Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8+ years experience in a bank in UAE.
  • Experience in Commercial / Corporate banking segments as a relationship manager.
  • University Graduate with degree in Finance / Accounting / Business Management / Economics or related
  • Banking software systems proficiency
  • Data analysis and financial modelling skills
  • Credit analysis and FOREX skills
  • Certificates from professional bodies (ACCA, CFA, CIOB) will be considered a plus.
  • Ability to handle large and complex transactions and structure transactions independently.
  • Sound understanding of transactional banking and loan products.
  • Good understanding of the business environment in UAE preferably with direct contact with the local corporations and HNIs.
