The role
The Lead Material Management Systems Administrator will act as focal point for the Materials Management System (MMS) in the region.You will engage with stakeholders to ensure successful rollout of the materials lifecycle management system and associated processes, to ensure the MMS is setup in accordance with the Client's and Contract / Project's requirements, and to provide guidance on how the systems should be used in accordance with the requirements of the Business Unit.
You will support different functions (i.e. Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Construction) with the correct use of the MMS during the execution of projects.You will be responsible for assessing upcoming MMS software versions and enhancements and liaise with software vendor to determine the necessary steps.
You will work with other members of the Information Management team with development activities including systems interfaces and reports.
You will prepare documentation associated with the administration of the MMS including training materials, procedures and guides.

Typical responsibilities
Set-up new contracts and projects within the MMS including assistance with new interfaces where required
When Contracts / Projects use Client's bulk materials catalogues: Interface with the Clients to obtain a copy of the catalogues, work with the MMS administrator to upload and setup of the catalogues and coordinate ongoing updates of the catalogues
Assist with the processing of material requirements from engineering design systems (e.g. plant design systems, drafting system, etc.). This requires regular uploads of material take offs (MTOs) into the material management systemSupport requisitioning activities for the different engineering disciplines, including Piping, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical and Structural. The support activities may involve facilitating the tasks or assisting with the preparation of deliverables like material requisitions, depending on project complexity and discipline
Assist with project material allocations, including soft and hard allocations
Provision of materials status reporting for various stakeholder groups, e.g. project management, engineering, procurement. This is a key activity that ensures visibility of the materials status, enabling the required actions by the different functions to meet key project milestones
Provide admin and user training of MMS and attend to user queries
Develop the MMS Administration Procedure
Develop training material for users and administrators
Assist in global alignment / rollout of MMS in the business unit
