Overview of the role

We are looking for a Service Advisor to join our FAMCO Construction Equipment team in DIP 2. This role is the first point of contact for customers requiring service support and plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily service operations. You will be responsible for coordinating service jobs between customers, technicians, and internal teams, ensuring accurate documentation, timely updates, and adherence to company service and safety standards.

What you will do
  • Receive and log customer service requests via phone, email, or in person.
  • Open and manage service job cards, assigning them to technicians under the Service Supervisor's guidance.
  • Coordinate job scheduling, technician dispatch, and parts availability.
  • Follow up with technicians to monitor job progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Communicate with customers about job status, findings, and estimated completion times.
  • Prepare warranty claims and technical reports, ensuring all documentation is complete.
  • Maintain accurate records and filing of service-related documents.
  • Support the Service Supervisor in achieving KPIs like job turnaround time, job closure rate, and customer satisfaction.
Required skills to be successful
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage service workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and preferably service systems such as SAP.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced service environment.

About the team

You will be part of the Construction Equipment Service Department at FAMCO - CE, reporting directly to the Workshop Supervisor. The team consists of skilled technicians, service coordinators, and supervisors who work together to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Collaboration, teamwork, and customer focus are at the core of our operations.

What equips you for the role
  • Diploma in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
  • 1-3 years of experience in service coordination, workshop administration, or a similar Service Advisor role.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, preferably Volvo machinery (engine and hydraulics).
  • Previous experience preparing and processing warranty claims.
  • Punctuality, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset.
