Job Purpose
At Engineering Warehouse & Logistics (EWL), we ensure Emirates Maintenance teams have timely and accurate access to spares and tools. To inspect and confirm serviceability/airworthiness and/or initiate quarantine process of received tools and materials in accordance with EK procedures and regulatory requirements to provide support to Emirates Engineering and Fleet operations.
In This Role, You Will- Initiate the stock discrepancy process to quarantine noncompliant spares/tools to further investigate and take action.
- Administer the archiving process (Digital/Physical) of airworthiness certificates and other supporting documents received with the tools and materials to ensure the storage, security and retrieval of archive data is efficient and effective.
- As part of the pre-service check for newly delivered aircraft, ensure that markings of emergency equipment on-board complies with the regulatory requirements.
- Perform Technical Investigations related to EK inventory initiated by Fleet Technical Management (FTM), Compliance Monitoring (CM), Engineering Safety Reports (ESRs) and Stock Discrepancy Reports (SDRs).
- Review requests relating to tools and materials shelf life extensions, reprinting of calibration stickers and serviceable labels and serviceability assessment of stocked items
- Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Engineering Procedure Manual (EPM), Technical Publications, Compliance Monitoring updates and other aircraft maintenance data to ensure the latest changes to policy, procedure and process are effective. Actively participate in the identification and development of new SOP/special instructions.
- Monitor and record the air temperature and humidity of Engineering Warehouse & Logistics stock rooms to ensure they are in accordance with dept. standards.
- Issue Serviceable Part Label and certify the airworthiness of received tools and materials based on the inspection performed.
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- 3+ years in Engineering Materials & Stores
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
- Experience in Warehouse and logistics experience in a maintenance organization, preferably in an Aviation/MRO environment with minimum of 2 years experience in warehouse and logistics operation and material inspection/verification or experience working as an approved aircraft maintenance personnel.
- Competent knowledge in aircraft/engineering maintenance data, applicable airworthiness regulations, office applications/systems and warehouse/inventory/ERP systems. Having authorisation/approval to perform aircraft materials inspection from a recognized airline/organization would be an added advantage.
