Overview
The Assistant Manager - Accounts & Finance will play a key role in managing financial planning, reporting, and compliance for an e-commerce business. This role involves overseeing revenue tracking, payment gateway reconciliation, cost control, and taxation, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger, and expense tracking.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
Compliance & Audit Support:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, or local regulations).
- Assist in internal & external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Ensure timely tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, etc.) and compliance with local tax laws.
Revenue & Payment Reconciliation:
- Manage payment gateway reconciliations.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of cash on delivery (COD) payments from logistics partners.
- Track refunds, chargebacks, and disputes to minimize revenue leakage.
Process Automation & Technology Integration:
- Work with ERP systems (Oracle) and e-commerce platforms.
- Implement automation for financial reporting and transaction tracking.
- Collaborate with tech teams to enhance real-time financial data analysis.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.
- Qualified CA.
- 3-6 years of experience in finance, accounting, or e-commerce finance.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong financial analysis & reporting skills.
- Experience with payment gateway reconciliation & marketplace settlements.
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
- Knowledge of e-commerce KPIs (ROAS, LTV, AOV, CAC, GMV, etc.).
- Understanding of VAT and other e-commerce taxation rules.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
