As part of our continued expansion, Al Marwan Heavy Machinery is seeking a skilled and proactive Transport and Logistics Manager to join our team in Damascus. This role is vital to ensuring the efficient and timely movement of machinery and equipment, both locally and regionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and manage the transport and logistics operations to ensure efficient delivery of machinery and equipment.
• Monitor and coordinate transportation schedules, routes, and fleet utilization.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Oversee fleet maintenance and ensure all vehicles and equipment are in top operational condition.
• Manage relationships with logistics service providers and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with internal departments to align logistics activities with operational goals.
• Lead and supervise the logistics team, ensuring effective performance and continuous improvement.
• Prepare regular reports on transport and logistics metrics and performance.
• Oversee all customs clearance processes and ensure compliance with local import/export rules and regulations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management, preferably in the heavy machinery or construction sector.
• Proven experience in customs clearance procedures and strong knowledge of related government regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong knowledge of logistics processes, fleet operations, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in logistics and fleet management software systems.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
