Collaborate with dynamic, cross-functional, and international teams.

As a government relations officer, your job duties include staying current on existing and proposed legislation in UAE, building good relations with relevant government officials, and updating management on relevant laws and regulations.

• Handle all government-related processes in compliance with local regulations, including visa and labour procedures.
• Facilitate meetings with government officials and represent the organization in all regulatory matters.
• Process and renew various licenses, permits, and other legal documents required by the government.
• Be well versed with the continually changing labour laws, localisation requirements, vehicle registrations, social security clearance, and other government-related policies and procedures.
• Ensure all visas, passes, and labour permits are up to date and arrange for timely renewals.
• Effectively communicate with government entities and internal stakeholders on all relevant matters.
• Ensure and support continuous process improvements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a bachelor's degree or diploma from an accredited university or college.
• Have 3+ years of experience in a government relations role in UAE.
• Have relevant experience working with government departments and handling visa and immigration processes.
• Display excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Have the ability to multi-task effectively and balance priorities in an ever-changing, fast-moving, time-sensitive environment.
• Be able to anticipate needs and make judgment calls within your area of expertise and responsibility.
• Display a high value for integrity, kindness, and show a sense of humor.
• Be a proactive, motivated self-starter, maintaining discipline and focus in managing long-term initiatives without close supervision.
