Structural Design Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of complete design packages, including plans, sections, calculations, and technical notes.
• Mentor and review the work of junior engineers to ensure compliance and quality.
• Coordinate and integrate multi-disciplinary inputs using BIM workflows and clash detection tools.
• Liaise with clients and contractors for design clarification and technical coordination.
• Review project specifications and ensure alignment with authority requirements and international codes.
• Perform advanced design calculations and offer alternative technical solutions where required.
• Lead internal technical reviews and resolve complex design issues.
• Prepare compliance reports, design narratives, and respond to technical submittals.
• Participate in value engineering exercises and propose design optimizations.
• Guide junior staff in understanding design principles, codes, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's in engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant design experience.
• Advanced proficiency in software (e.g., Revit, ETABS, HAP, Civil 3D).
• Working knowledge of local codes (DM, ADM, Saudi Building Code) and international standards (BS, ASHRAE, ACI).
