Role Description
The AV Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for audio visual systems and equipment. This role includes diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing installations and configurations, and ensuring the optimal performance of AV systems.
Key Responsibilities
System Support & Maintenance- Provide technical support for AV systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues with hardware and software.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure AV systems are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Respond to technical inquiries and provide on-site and remote support to clients.
- Shall have knowledge of MTR's & other meeting platforms like Zoom,Webex,Cisco,Teams etc.
Installation & Configuration:
- Install, configure, and test AV equipment's such as Meeting rooms solutions/Videowalls / Interactive Video conferencing systems/IT hardware's & Peripherals/ Signage system/Room booking system /sound systems/ and control systems etc.
- Good knowledge of rack installations, cabling, and network connectivity for all AV components.
Technical Expertise & Consultation:
- Recommend clients on AV solutions and provide recommendations based on their specific needs and requirements.
- Stay up to date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends to ensure clients receive the best possible service.
- Work closely with the sales and project management teams to deliver high-quality AV installations & AMC
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and technical issues
- Provide detailed reports and documentation for AV setups, troubleshooting procedures, and system updates.
Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating clearly and effectively with clients and team members.
Train clients and internal staff on the use and maintenance of AV equipment and systems.
Nature of Experience- Strong technical knowledge of AV systems, including audio, video, control systems, and network infrastructure, Projectors, video conferencing equipment's ,sound systems, PAVA, Signages
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with AV equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with control systems of specific AV brands and products (e.g., Qsc Crestron, Extron, Bose).
- Knowledge of network and IT systems as they relate to AV technology.
Educational Qualifications: Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics ,IT, or a related field.
Vehicle Requirement : Must have UAE Driving License with Vehicle
Are you already working in the field support role ,having hands on experience with major AV brands ,willing to be based in Abu Dhabi & drive to other emirates also as per work requirement .
