Senior Business Analyst - Dubai

Job Description

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible to ensures efficient business performance through process improvement, system optimization, and effective stakeholder engagement within the framework of Islamic banking.

To collaborate with stakeholders across departments to identify business challenges, gather and document requirements, and recommend data-driven strategies to optimize business performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of banking business processes and systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
• Lead the gathering and analysis of business requirements from internal departments.
• Create Use cases for business needs, review and address gaps in BRD, translate business needs into functional specifications.
• Process Improvement & Strategy
• Identify areas for operational improvement and recommend solutions. (Shariah-compliant)
• Support strategic initiatives and transformation programs to enhance customer experience and efficiency.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Liaise with department heads, IT, compliance, Legal, Operations, Risk, Finance, Products, and Shariah to ensure alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Compliance & Risk
• Ensure all proposed solutions comply with Islamic banking principles, internal policies, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the Shariah Compliance department to validate product development and process changes.
• Technology Integration
• Work closely with IT and digital teams to deliver system enhancements or new implementations.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure proper documentation.

Job Requirements:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in a senior role across Business analysis, Product management, Process improvement, or related areas
• Hands on experience in implementing core banking solutions, API driven interface developments, IT transformation projects
• Have a strong banking domain experience implementing various modules and preferably have worked in an Islamic banking environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Experience with business process modelling, workflow diagrams (e.g., BPMN, Visio).
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile, and/or Scrum methodologies.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications are a plus.
• Strong leadership skills, Strong attention to details, good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to communicate & articulate accurate information in written and verbal formats
• A self-starter who requires minimum supervision who can work with the team with a positive attitude.
