Job Title: IT Help Desk OfficerSalary: 10,000 AED
Job Summary
The IT Help Desk Officer provides first-line technical support to users, ensuring efficient resolution of IT-related issues. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems while delivering timely and professional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact for IT support via phone, email, or in person
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and peripherals
- Assist users with system access, password resets, and application support
- Log, track, and document support requests using a ticketing system
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT support when required
- Perform routine system checks, updates, and maintenance
- Ensure data security and follow IT policies and procedures
- Provide basic training and guidance to users on IT systems and tools
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in an IT support or help desk role (preferred)
- Good knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with help desk/ticketing systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, email systems, and remote support tools
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are an advantage
