Our client is an independent conference organizer, specialized in the power sector. They are well known and highly respected in the European power market as they operate a customer-first ethos.
We are currently searching for a dynamic, determined, and results-oriented Event Marketing Manager to drive the promotion of our client's 2 annual conferences.
This individual will have a solid track record in driving premium delegate attendance through multi-channel marketing activities in the tech sector. They will combine a strong flare for event promotion, with exceptional relationship building skills, and outstanding stakeholder management capability.Operating with an MO of transparency, integrity and building trust with all stakeholders is absolutely essential to success in this role.
The role involves:
- Briefing: taking a brief from the conference programme director, researching the market, understanding the buyer persona, and event competitor landscape
- Campaign planning: determining the optimal mix of marketing channels and frequency of activity, and planning these into the campaign planning spreadsheet to deliver maximum delegate ROI
- Database building: turning the market map and buyer persona into an internal database build project, targeting 10,000 new records for the Middle East, Asia, Africa power grid primary and secondary markets
- Advertising procurement: identifying advertising channels, negotiating packages and prices, and overseeing the creation and delivery of collateral to deadline for optimal buyer engagement and sales conversion
- Media partnerships: researching the media partner landscape and negotiating with and onboarding a selection of high quality media partners to help drive brand awareness, buyer engagement, and sales conversion
- Campaign analysis: carrying out weekly analysis of campaign progress through the booking pattern, website traffic, advertising performance, and pivoting the campaign when necessary to maximise ROI
- Platform management: Mailchimp EMS, Wix Website, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Company Page, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Youtube Company Channel
- Budget management: ensuring a minimum of 500% ROI on the marketing budget
- Reporting: providing a weekly review of marketing activity, performance, project outlook and pivots
The ideal candidate:
- Degree or higher in Environmental Sciences, Marketing, Business, Economics, Humanities or Arts degree
- 5-7 plus years experience in event marketing for a commercial conference organisation
- Interest in the Clean energy sector and b2b buyer psychology
- Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
- Meticulous organisation and prioritisation skills
- Collaborative teamwork and stakeholder engagement style
- Commercially driven with excellent deadline management and target/goal orientation
- Experience of a range of marketing platforms and tools
- As this is a contractual role, candidates must be self sponsored
Contract Duration:12 months (with the potential for extension)
