About the business area
The Corporate & Investment Banking Group (CIBG) provides a portfolio of corporate banking services, including investment and transaction banking as well as financial market solutions. This sophisticated product suite is powered by efficient digital platforms and distribution channels.It serves a broad range of clients both domestically and across the MENA region, including government entities, financial institutions, large to mid-size corporates, and commercial clients (SMEs), and maintains strategic relationships with leading banks globally.
In this role, your key responsibilities include:
Strategy and plans
In conjunction with, and as required by the chief officer of the group, contribute to the formulation, implementation and delivery of the groupu2019s strategy in line with the ADCBu2019s vision, mission, values and priorities. Translate the strategy into operational business plans for the short, medium and long term within the department(s) and ensure that performance is monitored, reported and delivered and necessary actions are taken to achieve the strategy and plans.Direct, develop and implement ADCBu2019s credit distribution strategy and framework in order to maximize profitability whilst effectively managing risk exposures.
Credit distribution
Manage ADCBu2019s credit distribution business, engaging support and input from the banku2019s support and delivery channels, in order that the banku2019s products and solutions remain client-focused and market competitive.
Origination and sale of products
Lead and direct ADCBu2019s credit distribution business activity and capabilities, including pricing and structuring of transactions, risk and investment return analysis, and overseeing interactions with other desks and departments, in order to maximize the performance and profitability of the bank.Origination and execution of trades and transactions in accordance with ADCBu2019s standard operating procedures and risk appetite in order to drive profitability.
Market intelligence
Oversee ongoing market evaluation, due diligence and risk monitoring of the prospective and live trades to ensure that all aspects of risk are appropriately considered and to implement appropriate hedging strategies.
Leadership
Manage employees and teams by overseeing their performance management, recruitment, learning and development to ensure high levels of engagement and competence, a motivated work environment and to maximize employee contribution to business performance.
Change management
Drive the management of change in the business area through direct reports and teams by providing inputs for, and partaking in change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment.
Policies, processes, systems and procedures
Develop and oversee the creation and implementation of the required policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of the business areau2019s activity so that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements and standards are fulfilled while ensuring that ADCB delivers best-in-class services, products and innovation whilst safeguarding the bank.
Customer service
Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB service standards to deliver the banku2019s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions.
The ideal candidate should have the following experience- At least 10 years of experience in progressively more complex and responsible roles in FI sales, structured derivatives and credit solutions
- Bacheloru2019s degree in relevant field
