About the Role

BDO UAE is currently looking for an Assistant Manager to join their dynamic Risk Advisory team in UAE. The location will be based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi depending on business requirements.

This role will entail being:

  • On smaller Risk Advisory engagements – manage the delivery of the engagement from client acceptance/reappointment through to delivering the final report and archiving the completed files.
  • On larger Risk Advisory engagements – execute the delivery of the engagement by supervising Risk Advisory staff were relevant and managing upwards to project leaders with ownership.
  • Assist in managing the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders.
  • Support in business development initiatives.
  • Build strong internal relationships within the BDO Risk Advisory Services Division and across other Service Divisions.
  • Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff.
  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures.

About You

The ideal candidate will have
  • Minimum 5+ years experience across multiple risk advisory services such as Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Policies and Procedures development, Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), External Quality Assessment and Compliance Management
  • Technical knowledge of the IIA's Global Internal Audit Standards, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000), and Internal Control Frameworks
  • Data Analytics and hands-on experience using technology / data analysis tools on audit and advisory projects
  • Experience across three or more sectors including government and semi government
  • Knowledge of local regulations (ADAA, CMA / SCA) is preferred
  • Prior consulting experience including leading audit and advisory projects across multiple business areas.
  • Must possess a professional certification such as CA/ACCA/CPA/CIA
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical mind.
