Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly accomplished Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the mechanical engineering and facilities operations across a portfolio of high-rise assets. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, financial oversight, and operational leadership to ensure optimal asset performance, cost efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical engineering strategy and operations across high-rise properties, ensuring optimal performance of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Oversee integrated facilities management operations, aligning service delivery with business objectives and performance targets.
• Establish and drive maintenance frameworks (preventive, predictive, and lifecycle-based strategies).
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory, statutory, and HSE requirements.
• Manage and optimize operational budgets, cost control measures, and financial performance of assets.
• Direct and evaluate FM contractors, consultants, and service providers, ensuring service excellence and accountability.
• Implement performance monitoring systems (KPIs / SLAs) and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership in complex problem-solving, asset optimization, and system upgrades.
• Drive energy efficiency and sustainability strategies across the portfolio.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in mechanical engineering and facilities management within high-rise or large-scale real estate portfolios.
• Proven track record in asset operations, cost control, and performance optimization.
• Strong expertise in MEP systems, building services, and FM best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in budget ownership and financial planning.
• Strong leadership experience managing teams and multi-site operations.
• Proficiency in CAFM systems, AutoCAD, and performance analytics tools.

Preferred Credentials:

• Professional certifications such as PMP, CFM, or equivalent.
• Prior experience within the UAE / GCC real estate sector.
• Knowledge of sustainability frameworks (LEED or equivalent).
