About the Job:
Manage activities of the Marine Personnel Department in order to ensure that ships are effectively and continuously manned with competent and adequately certified seafarers.
Key Accountabilities- Ensure implementation of marine personnel allocation plans based on feedback from department of concerned fleet.
- Manage recruitment and co-ordinate with manning agencies, where necessary, in order to ensure that ships are manned in line with the National and International requirements
- Follow the administrative activities such as but not limited to visas, security clearance and other official documentation for marine personnel.
- Endorse the payroll of marine personnel, making sure that all in line with the terms of employment contracts.
- Coordinate with the Crew Manning, and make sure a smooth operation in terms of Crew scheduling, planning, traveling...etc.
- Review issues and grievances of marine personnel consult with shipmasters in order to contribute to the creation of a healthy working environment that fosters good employee relations, rewards performance and ensures an upward performance curve.
- Ensure compliance with contractual agreements, local and international laws, and policies and procedures with regard to payment of benefits, salaries, and gratuity of marine personnel.
Minimum Requirtments:
- Marine background with Bachelor Degree in related field.
- 10 years' experience in broad personnel work including manpower planning, recruitment, employee relations, policies & procedures, job evaluation and salary administration of which 6 years in an oil / gas or petrochemical industry in a senior supervisory position.
- Fair knowledge in the International legislation and regulation of IMO in particular the STCW convention as amended, ISPS, MLC...etc
