Overview of the role

This role will support the GM Finance & Commercial and become the key lead in managing the end-to-end finance process of Blue Rewards.

What you will do
  • Business planning & analysis: Preparation and presentation of budgets and forecast for the business unit ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to group reporting timeliness and BPC updates to facilitate timely reviews of budgets and forecasts.
  • Monthly management reporting: Provide monthly management reports highlighting key performance indicators and variance analysis.
  • Support in preparation of group reporting pack on monthly basis in coordination with Data team.
  • Setting up accounting flow and process: Develop accounting flow for new programs introduced in adherence to accounting principles and regulatory standards.
  • Coordination with internal stakeholders and third parties: Closely work with Tech, product, and third-party integrators to understand the product requirement and come up with schemes of accounting entries and financial process.
  • Work with internal and external teams to contribute in the user acceptance testing and finalization of accounting flow for new programs.
  • Complete bank reconciliations for all the Blue Wallet and Gift Cards (including reseller cases) after ensuring collections and booking expenses.
  • End to end reconciliation between SAP GL's and third party integrator reports to ensure all liabilities are booked correctly and address the issues accordingly to concerned party.
  • ICM reconciliations with Blue partners (daily basis) - resolving errors related to Cashback, Gift Cards, Wallet Top-up and Points, and getting the ICMs accepted by the partners.
  • Vendor onboarding, raising PRs/POs, creating IANs and SRFs.
  • Coordinate payables with central payment team and provide updates to internal stakeholders on the status of payments.
  • Compliance with DOAs: Strict adherence to DOAs.
  • Month closing activities and MIS: Liaise with shared service teams to ensure all activities are recorded and analyse the financials for management review.
  • Cashflow management: Biweekly submission of fund requirement with Treasury to ensure availability of funds for the program.
  • Assisting in internal and external audit activities.
Required skills to be successful
  • Bachelor's in business administration.
  • Experience in operational finance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
About the team
  • You will be reporting to GM - Finance and Commercial.
What equips you for the role
  • Bachelor's in business administration (BBA) with specialization in finance or accounting from an accredited university.
  • Qualification (American CPA or international ACCA) is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP systems is necessary; SAP (including Ariba) expertise is a must.
  • Preferably minimum 8 years in an operational finance position, preferably in the digital commerce sphere.
