Job description

As a Sales Manager - Leisure, you will be responsible to provide professional and friendly service to all patrons and assist the Director of Sales.

What you will be doing
  • Analyze market trends and develop tailored long-stay solutions for corporate clients, including negotiating competitive room rates and packages to enhance revenue streams and maintain market leadership.
  • Be actively involved in the Sales Department in order to maximize sales.
  • Ensure compliance with Rixos Bab Al Bahr minimum standards pertaining to sales.
  • Maintain existing leisure accounts and source new business to achieve the hotelu2019s targeted occupancy and room revenue.
  • Conduct sales calls to existing and prospective leisure accounts as per areas assigned by Director of Sales.
  • Maintain all sales activities and account information in the Sales Database.
  • In conjunction with the Sales Team, prepare and act on the monthly sales activities plan.
  • Entertain qualified clients within the hotel F&B outlets.
  • Attend and assist in the coordination of hotel functions as requested by Director of Sales.
  • Maintain a high profile within the travel industry and foster relationships with accounts in the market.
  • Prepare monthly reports to Director of Sales.
  • Ensure sufficient levels of hotel brochures and other literature are held by key accounts. Take regular initiatives via email communication with these accounts.
  • Respond to tender requests from leisure clients in conjunction with Director of Sales. All submissions are to be approved by the Director of Sales prior to distribution.
  • Interstate sales trips may be required; however, this will be dependent on the sales and marketing budget and approval by Director of Sales.
  • Participate in selected trade shows.
  • Ensure companies of which you are responsible are being tracked in accordance with their room night targets on a monthly basis and report as per the guidelines set out by the Director of Sales.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings with the Director of Sales.
  • Conduct site inspections and host familiarization visits when required.
  • Attend monthly review meetings with Director of Sales to discuss results versus goals in the annual sales call plan and company sales strategy.
  • Be flexible to carry out other duties and assignments as requested by the Director of Sales.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
  • Business degree or any relevant qualification would be advantageous
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
  • Additional Russian language skills and understanding and experience in the CIS market is a must
