Job description / Role
Employment: Full Time
We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support the legal team of a leading government-affiliated organization operating in the utilities and infrastructure sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing legal assistance on a range of matters including regulatory compliance, contract review, administrative support, and internal coordination with operational departments.
Key Responsibilities:Assist in drafting, reviewing, and formatting various legal documents including contracts, MOUs, NDAs, service agreements, and internal policies.
Conduct legal research on local laws, sector-specific regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to energy, water, and infrastructure.
Support in preparing documentation for tenders, licensing, and other regulatory submissions.
Liaise with internal departments (procurement, engineering, HSE, operations, etc.) to ensure alignment and legal compliance in their processes.
Maintain organized legal files and document management systems ensuring accessibility and confidentiality.
Assist with translation or review of bilingual (Arabic/English) legal documents as needed.
Provide support in dispute resolution, investigations, and regulatory audits.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you need to mee the following criteria:
Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Law or Legal Studies; a paralegal certification is preferred.
3–6 years of experience working in a legal department or law firm, ideally with exposure to public utilities, infrastructure, or energy-related matters.
Knowledge of UAE laws, including civil procedures, contract law, and administrative law.
Strong legal drafting and research skills.
Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English is highly preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Attributes: Prior experience supporting legal functions in government entities or semi-government companies.
Familiarity with corporate governance, environmental regulations, or public-private partnership frameworks is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office and legal documentation systems.
