Job Description
Commercial Lawyer - Abu Dhabi.
Were seeking a commercially astute legal counsel to join our client on a fixed-term basis and work closely with internal teams spanning operations, procurement, development, and finance. This position plays a key role in supporting the business on the negotiation, structuring, and management of a wide array of commercial agreements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and advise on a diverse portfolio of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, licensing and franchise arrangements, outsourcing deals, and SLAs.
- Support the business on procurement matters, strategic partnerships, and commercial projects.
- Identify and advise on legal risks, contract compliance, and governance matters.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide business-focused legal advice.
- Ensure adherence to relevant legal and regulatory obligations across the UAE and broader GCC region.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience from a common law or recognised international jurisdiction.
- Solid commercial legal background, ideally with exposure to a range of industries.
- Strong experience in contract negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment in the UAE/GCC is a plus.
- Commercially driven, agile, and pragmatic.
- Arabic language skills (spoken and written) are highly beneficial.
