LMS Operator

Job Description

A new opportunity has come up from one of the fastest-growing hospitality firm in Abu Dhabi, UAE. They are looking for a LMS Operator to join their new institute.

The Systems Operator plays a crucial role in facilitating remote learning, managing student data, and enhancing communication within the school community.

• System Administration: Manage and maintain the LMS and SMS platforms, including user accounts, permissions, and system configurations.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support to students, teachers, and parents, troubleshooting issues related to platform access, navigation, and functionality.
• Training and Onboarding: Conduct training sessions and workshops to onboard new users and familiarize them with the features and functionalities of the LMS and SMS systems.
• Content Management: Assist teachers in uploading and organizing educational materials, assignments, quizzes, and other content within the LMS platform.
• Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of student data within the SMS system, including enrolment records, grades, attendance, and disciplinary information.
• Integration and Customization: Collaborate with IT staff to integrate third-party tools and applications with the LMS and SMS systems, as well as customize features to meet the specific needs of the school.
• Communication Facilitation: Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents through the LMS and SMS platforms, including announcements, messaging, and discussion forums.
• System Upgrades and Maintenance: Stay informed about updates and enhancements to the LMS and SMS systems, coordinating system upgrades and maintenance activities as needed.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate reports and analyze data from the LMS and SMS systems to monitor student progress, identify trends, and inform decision-making by school administrators.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or a related field.
• Previous experience in system administration, technical support, or a similar role, preferably within an educational environment.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting LMS and SMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, PowerSchool, Infinite Campus).
• Strong technical skills, including knowledge of web technologies, databases, and network infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and draw actionable insights.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing student data and system configurations.
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing needs and priorities within the school community.
