Description
The BD Manager - Pharma Sales is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing sales activities within the pharmaceutical packaging domain. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, managing key client accounts, and supporting the overall sales strategy.The incumbent will work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored packaging solutions that align with client requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development- Support the implementation of the sales strategy for pharmaceutical packaging across the assigned region, with a focus on revenue growth and market expansion.
- Meet or exceed sales targets related to revenue, profitability, and strategic business goals in packaging formats such as blister packs, bottles, vials, closures, and flexible packaging.
- Assist in the preparation of sales forecasts and contribute to departmental planning and budgeting efforts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, contract packaging firms, and healthcare providers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and timely resolution of concerns.
- Conduct regular client meetings and follow-ups, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service and identifying opportunities for repeat business and account expansion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, production, and regulatory) to develop customized, compliant, and cost-effective packaging solutions.
- Present tailored proposals aligned with client specifications, regulatory compliance, and industry standards (e.g., GMP, ISO).
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of client orders via the ERP system and oversee all aspects of the sales cycle from quotation to order confirmation.
- Stay current with industry trends, packaging innovations, and regulatory updates.
- Represent the organization at trade shows and industry conferences, enhancing brand visibility and identifying new business leads.
- Promote sustainable and innovative packaging solutions to meet client and market expectations.
- Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular reporting on sales performance, market intelligence, and client engagement.
- Ensure adherence to all internal sales processes and external compliance requirements in line with pharmaceutical regulations.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field ike Life Sciences, Business, Pharmacy, or Engineering
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging sales or a closely related field.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing complex client relationships.
- Strong network of pharmaceutical manufacturers and industry contacts in the region.
- Excellent English communication skills - both written and verbal; Arabic would be an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and drive business with minimal supervision
- Experience with ERP systems and familiarity with the technical and regulatory aspects of pharmaceutical packaging. Understanding of industry standards such as GMP and ISO.
- Willingness to travel across the region as needed for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
