Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Veterinarian role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Senior Veterinarian will perform clinical examinations, diagnose and treat medical conditions, and manage surgical and dental procedures for canine and feline patients.Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and providing preventative care recommendations. The role also involves guiding junior veterinarians and veterinary nurses, ensuring adherence to clinic protocols, and contributing to continuous improvement of clinical standards.
The Senior Veterinarian will communicate treatment plans clearly to clients, maintain accurate medical records, and participate in case discussions and staff training.
Qualifications- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent) from an accredited institution, with valid or eligible veterinary licensure in the United Arab Emirates.
- Proven experience in small animal medicine, including canine and feline diagnostics, treatment planning, and ongoing case management.
- Strong surgical and dental skills, including routine soft tissue procedures and common dental treatments; experience with anesthesia and pain management.
- Proficiency in interpreting laboratory results, imaging, and other diagnostic tests, and integrating findings into evidence-based care plans.
- Excellent client communication skills, with the ability to explain medical information clearly, provide empathetic support, and discuss preventive care and nutrition.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including mentoring junior team members, supporting a collaborative clinic culture, and contributing to clinical decision-making.
- Comfort with electronic medical records and basic clinic management software; ability to maintain accurate, timely documentation.
- Commitment to continuing education, current best practices in veterinary medicine, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
- Fluency in English required; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Prior experience working in the Gulf region or an international clinical setting is beneficial but not required.
