Quantity Surveyor (Civil, Fit-Out, & Landscaping) - BG Group – Design Studio Division

Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in civil, fit-out, and landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the UAE construction industry, be familiar with local market rates, and possess strong cost control, estimation, and contractual management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for civil, fit-out, and landscaping works.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and monitor budget adherence.
• Analyze project costs and prepare regular financial reports for management.
• Review and negotiate contracts, subcontractor agreements, and variations.
• Track material usage, wastage, and cost efficiency.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
• Ensure compliance with UAE construction regulations, codes, and standards.
• Provide cost advice during project planning and throughout the execution phase.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a QS in the UAE.
• Proven experience in civil, fit-out, and landscaping projects.
• Strong knowledge of local market rates, suppliers, and construction practices.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QS-related software.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Must be currently based in the UAE and available for immediate joining or short notice.
