Role Description

The role also involves ensuring projects are completed on budget, conducting value engineering, and liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams to achieve financial efficiency and accuracy.

• Prepare, evaluate, and submit progressive payment applications/invoices, ensuring accurate measurement of completed works, proper documentation, and timely certification and follow-up.
• Manage overall cost control, budgeting, and cost planning to ensure projects are delivered within approved financial limits.
• Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs), including quantity take-offs and verification against drawings and specifications.
• Monitor project costs and produce regular cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost value reconciliation (CVR).
• Evaluate, negotiate, and manage variations/change orders and claims in line with contract requirements.
• Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, conditions, and commercial procedures.
• Lead subcontractor procurement, tender evaluation, and commercial management.
• Conduct value engineering to optimize costs without compromising quality or project requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, designers, and project teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and finalize project accounts, ensuring all costs and claims are properly settled.
• Identify financial risks and implement cost control measures.
• Mentor junior QS staff and ensure adherence to best practices and company standards.

• Proficiency in Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Planning to efficiently optimize project budgets and resources.
• Demonstrated expertise in preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) with precision and accuracy.
• Strong skills in Cost Reporting, including preparing detailed financial summaries and progress reports for stakeholders.
• Experience with value engineering and ability to work collaboratively with designers and contractors to enhance cost efficiency.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients and project teams effectively.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools and familiarity with construction and fit-out practices is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
