Specialist - Procurement
Strategy• Support in the development and implementation of sustainable procurement strategies andframeworks aligned with the Authority’s goals for sustainability, HSE, and risk management.• Contribute to formulating policies, procedures, and plans for sustainable sourcing, supplierengagement, and green procurement initiatives.• Manage performance indicators for procurement sustainability and monitor alignment withcorporate objectives and international standards.• Contribute to supplier relationship management strategies that include sustainability metricsand promote responsible business practices.• Support in awareness workshops and training on sustainable procurement practices acrossdepartments and suppliers.• Support the inclusion of sustainability requirements in tenders, contracts, and supplierevaluation criteria.
Operations• Support in sustainability integration in contracts, tenders, and procurement activities acrossengineering, infrastructure, IT, and service categories.• Evaluate supplier performance against sustainability and environmental compliance standardsand prepare related reports.• Coordinate with supplier affairs, insurance, and finance units to ensure contractual obligationsaddress sustainability and risk reduction.• Monitor and follow up on suppliers’ invoices, contractual payments, and SLAs, ensuringadherence to sustainability clauses.• Support in procurement expenditure analysis to identify sustainable sourcing opportunitiesand recommend cost-optimized, eco-friendly alternatives.• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure waste reduction, energy efficiency, and socialimpact initiatives are reflected in procurement actions.• Support in tenders and negotiations to ensure sustainability criteria are embedded inevaluation and award decisions.
Product / Process Improvement• Support development and maintenance of sustainable procurement guidelines, tools, andreporting templates to standardize practices Authority-wide.• Analyze supplier data and procurement systems to identify improvement areas insustainability tracking and reporting.• Research on innovations in sustainable materials, low-emission products, and eco-efficientsupply chain models.• Evaluate risk exposure in supply chains and propose mitigation measures consistent withsustainability standards.• Support in digital transformation initiatives within procurement to enhance transparency,traceability, and sustainability analytics.• Contribute to sustainability audits, ensuring corrective measures are implemented effectivelyand documented.• Prepare periodic reports on sustainability achievements, progress toward targets, and supplierengagement outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree/ Master’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Economics or Engineering
- 3+ years in case of master’s degree (5+ years in case of bachelor’s degree) in related area
- Experience in full contract lifecycle management
- Ability to conduct market research and benchmarking for procurement activities
- Skilled in policy analysis, development, and implementation
- Competence in supplier qualification, classification, and evaluation
- Experience in procurement planning and budget alignment
- Understanding of the organization’s business context and operational framework
- Proficiency in tendering processes and technical evaluation
- Strong core data analysis and reporting skills
- Knowledge of governance, regulatory, and compliance standards
