Procurement Engineer

Location: UAE

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the UAE construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing procurement processes for construction projects, working with local suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes for construction projects
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare and review RFQs, BOQs, and technical/commercial comparisons
• Ensure timely procurement of materials in line with project schedules
• Coordinate with project, engineering, and commercial teams
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contract terms
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of procurement experience in the UAE construction industry
• Proven experience working with main contractors
• Strong knowledge of local suppliers, subcontractors, and market conditions
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office

Preferred Skills:

• Strong analytical and cost control abilities
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and regulations
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
