We're excited to be part of a world-class sporting event taking place in the UAE and we're looking for Technical Managers and Technical Associates to join our on-ground team and ensure the seamless delivery of every match, ceremony, and audience experience.

Role Overview

You will play a key role in ensuring each venue is fully equipped to deliver flawless competition experiences both for live spectators and global broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the setup and operations of all venue technical infrastructure including:
• Scoreboards, timing systems, AV, FOH systems, graphics, lighting, IT networks.
• Coordinate with sport federations and official time/scoring vendors to meet competition standards.
• Plan and allocate technology equipment across venues in collaboration with operations, broadcast, and presentation teams.
• Manage layout drawings and coordinate space requirements with venue owners and overlay managers.
• Liaise with external suppliers for procurement, delivery, and installation of equipment.
• Supervise the technical fit-out and readiness of key zones (competition areas, media centers, operations centers, etc.).
• Provide real-time troubleshooting during live matches/events.
• Track standardized and ad-hoc technical requests and ensure accurate execution across venues.
• Collaborate with F&B, branding, competitions, and venue ops teams to ensure alignment.

• Support the Technical Manager in the day-to-day setup, testing, and operations of venue tech systems.
• Assist with venue layout prep, equipment delivery, cable management, and FOH tech support.
• Provide on-ground support for AV systems, scoring/timing gear, and IT infrastructure.
• Communicate clearly with multiple teams (presentation, broadcast, suppliers) and report issues quickly.
• Participate in the post-event breakdown and ensure safe removal and handover of equipment.

• UAE Visa: Must currently be on a freelance, dependent/spouse, or golden visa. (No visa sponsorship available for this project.)
• Experience:
• Technical Manager: Minimum 5+ years in technical production roles, with a strong preference for sporting events or international live events.
• Technical Associate: Minimum 2 years in events/technical support roles.
• Experience with AV, lighting, power, broadcast tech, or venue operations in live event environments.
• Availability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends during the event period.
• Comfortable working in high-pressure, live environments with quick turnarounds and tight timelines.

• Previous experience working in sporting events governed by global federations (FIFA, FIBA, World Athletics, etc.).
• Familiarity with scorekeeping systems, VAR, Hawk-Eye, or RFID timing setups.
• Technical certifications in AV, IT systems, or live production equipment.
