Business Development Manager (Valet Industry)

Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a Business or FM related discipline.
  • Relevant Bid Management training and certification and/or accreditations.
  • Professional certification relevant to FM industry, such as FMP Facility Management Professional
  • MBA or Msc in Management is preferrable.
  • Valet Industry experience is a must

Job Purpose:

  • To manage and lead the work winning team by developing and implementing winning strategies in the bidding process.
  • Review, analyse and manage the response to client RFP's from start to finish, incorporate for each bid a project team (ops, procurement, commercial, finance) and assign, manage required inputs in order to support the response to tender requirements.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders with regards to clarifications and site understanding.
  • Make recommendations at SMT level that ensures strategic objectives are met and benchmarks Khidmah's capability with the competition.
  • Develop, challenge and apply various continuous improvements in the process by comparing similar models on a case-to-case basis to ensure competitive edge in the market.

Roles, Responsibilities, Duties:

  • Manage the Bid team and the bid process from start to finish
  • Lead and manage the bidding process, in line with the overall Business Development Process
  • Ensure that all controls are in place and that the governance meetings (Red, Amber and Green) are properly scheduled and held
  • To convert work winning opportunities into successful and profitable contracts
  • Work with the Business Development Director & Business Development Manager understand the RFP pipeline to manage the expected workload
  • To develop alternative commercial models and offerings
  • Define and implement bid management processes
  • To create a bid management strategy and work with the wider work winning team and work winning resources to identify, capture and develop win themes
  • To develop a bid programme and having identified necessary resources, secure support from work winning, supply chain, operational managers and other stakeholders
  • To ensure that submission documents are complete and fully responsive to formal and informal questions posed in the clients bid documentation.
  • Constantly review and update the boilerplate tender submissions for accuracy and relevance
  • Where required, write client specific responses to meet the client RFP needs
  • To determine the likely response of competitors and to seek to positively differentiate the Khidmah offering
  • To ensure that a bid is submitted on time and in the required format
  • To keep the Business Development Manager is updated on the progress of each bid throughout the process
  • To monitor and challenge bid costs.
  • Support, develop and manage the tender response team.
