Position Title:

Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) Engineer

Job Purpose:

The AWP Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing Advanced Work Packaging methodology to improve construction efficiency, productivity, and predictability. The role ensures that engineering, procurement, and construction activities are aligned through structured work packages.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AWP Implementation

• Develop and implement AWP strategy in line with project execution plan
• Define Construction Work Areas (CWA), Engineering Work Packages (EWP), and Installation Work Packages (IWP)
• Ensure alignment with project milestones and sequencing

1. Work Package Development

• Prepare and manage EWPs, CWPs, and IWPs
• Ensure all work packages are constraint-free before release to construction
• Integrate engineering deliverables, material availability, and manpower planning

1. Planning & Scheduling

• Coordinate with planning team to align AWP with Level 3 & Level 4 schedules
• Develop look-ahead plans (3-month / 6-week / weekly)
• Monitor progress and update package status

1. Interface Coordination

• Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams
• Identify and resolve constraints (drawings, materials, permits, access)
• Support smooth handover between disciplines

1. Data & Digital Tools

• Utilize AWP tools/software (e.g., Primavera P6, Navisworks, Smart Construction tools)
• Maintain AWP dashboards and reporting systems
• Track KPIs such as work package readiness and productivity

1. Reporting

• Prepare weekly and monthly AWP reports
• Highlight risks, delays, and mitigation plans
• Present status to project management

1. Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve workflow and efficiency
• Support implementation of best practices in AWP

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Civil / Electrical or related)
• Certification or training in AWP (preferred)
