Job Summary

Support the Retail function by delivering exceptional merchandise design that elevates the guest experience by creating visually compelling product, signage, and packaging solutions for Miral's diverse retail estate. Drive brand consistency and innovation through multi-category design across licensed and intellectual property brands, while ensuring a seamless integration of design with user-centric functionality.

Shape product aesthetics and quality that align with Miral's brand standards while meeting aggressive timelines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Team
  • Foster a collaborative team ethos, ensuring seamless communication and alignment both within the design team and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative product designs that balance aesthetics, functionality, and brand cohesion, ensuring scalable solutions for retail environments.
  • Create and iterate visual mock-ups for merchandise, incorporating research-based trend insights and aligning with Miral's cross-entity brand guidelines.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to guide design strategies, translating insights into high-impact, functional, and visually engaging concepts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders—including visual merchandising, retail teams, and external partners—to finalize cohesive design deliverables.
  • Define technical and creative design specifications based on detailed briefs to streamline production feasibility and maintain design integrity.
  • Design packaging solutions that reinforce brand identity and enhance product marketability while adhering to licensing/IP guidelines.
  • Ensure all graphical outputs align with attraction and event brand standards, delivering consistent and compelling storytelling through design.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandise and Retail Merchandising teams to enforce uniform design standards and uphold brand visual alignment.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with internal teams and external collaborators, leveraging effective communications and follow-ups for timely project execution.

Qualifications

Essential
  • University Degree or equivalent in design.
  • 5-7 years of experience in product design, with expertise in multi-brand and multi-category retail environments, including license/IP management.
  • Proficiency in CAD programs and Adobe Illustrator/Sketch, with hands-on experience applying brand guidelines and producing work under strict IP constraints.
  • Proven work experience across GCC brands and licensing/IP portfolios, ensuring cross-market design adaptability.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, complemented by a proactive and agile mindset for fast-paced environments.
  • Multilingual fluency in English, with proven writing, speaking, and comprehension skills; proficiency in additional languages as a bonus.
  • Technical mastery of computer design tools and familiarity with production processes and adaptability to evolving project demands.
  • Capacity to manage multiple deadlines efficiently without compromising quality or brand alignment.
Desirable
  • Master's Degree in Design for advanced-level expertise in creative innovation.
  • 10 years of design experience for strategic and high-impact deliverables.
  • Multilingual proficiency contributing to global project collaboration.
