WERE HIRING AN IT ASSET MANAGEMENT (ITAM) SPECIALIST (L2) Dubai!

Excis is a global IT support leader, driven by innovation and collaboration. We are looking for a meticulous and process-driven IT Asset Management Specialist to join our team in Dubai. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of IT assets, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and cost-efficiency for our enterprise client.

WHAT YOULL DO:

Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets (hardware and software) from procurement to disposal, including receipt, deployment, tracking, and recovery.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the IT Asset Management database and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Conduct regular audits of IT assets to ensure data integrity and compliance with licensing agreements and internal policies.

Process software license requests, track allocations, and assist with vendor management and audit preparations.

Handle the asset aspect of the RMA process, including shipping, receiving, and updating asset records for repaired/replaced items.

Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT teams to reconcile assets, manage costs, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on asset status, lifecycle, compliance, and total cost of ownership (TCO) for management.

Provide support for IT asset-related inquiries and ensure real-time updates within the service ticket system.

Requirements

Technical Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT Asset Management or a related field within a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management principles and best practices.
• Experience with ITAM tools and systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Snow Software, Flexera) and proficiency in CMDB management.
• Familiarity with software licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle) and hardware asset tracking.
• Proficient in using ticket systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk, Jira) for asset-related tasks.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups) for data management and reporting.

Soft Skills & Certifications:

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• ITIL Foundation certification or relevant ITAM certifications (e.g., CITAM) are a strong advantage.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift/move equipment (up to 25 lbs) for audit and inventory purposes.
• Willingness to travel between client office locations in Dubai if required.
