Job Summary

Additionally, experience with 4D and 5D BIM integration for scheduling and cost estimation is essential. This role will involve close collaboration with structural engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders to create accurate and coordinated BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.

• BIM Modeling & Development: Develop and manage 3D structural models in Revit from conceptual design through to detailed construction documentation (LOD 100 to LOD 500). Ensure that all models are accurate, up-to-date, and meet the required project specifications and standards.
• Coordination & Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to integrate structural elements into coordinated BIM models. Address and resolve any model conflicts or clashes in coordination with other disciplines.
• Navisworks for Coordination: Utilize Navisworks for clash detection, model coordination, and to produce 3D visualizations of the structural design. Identify potential issues early and propose solutions to maintain the integrity of the design.
• 4D & 5D BIM Integration: Integrate 4D (scheduling) and 5D (cost estimation) data into structural models.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure the accurate representation of time and cost aspects in the project lifecycle.
• Cobie Data Preparation: Ensure that COBie (Construction Operations Building Information Exchange) data is properly incorporated into the BIM model to support facility management, operations, and asset management requirements.
• Dynamo BIM Scripting & Automation: Use Dynamo BIM to automate repetitive tasks, improve workflow efficiency, and enhance model performance. Create custom scripts to support the modeling process, data exchange, and task automation.
• Quality Control & Model Integrity: Conduct regular quality checks on the structural models to ensure they meet the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. Resolve any inconsistencies or errors in the models proactively.
• Project Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain BIM-related project documentation, including model updates, clash detection reports, coordination reports, and quality control checklists. Ensure timely submission of all BIM deliverables to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaboration in BIM Execution Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of BIM execution plans, ensuring all team members follow defined workflows and protocols for model creation, data exchange, and model delivery.
• Continual Learning & Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, BIM software updates, and evolving best practices. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to expand your skillset.

• Experience:

• Technical Skills:
• Strong experience with Revit for structural BIM modeling (LOD 100 to LOD 500).
• Proficient in Navisworks for clash detection and model coordination.
• Familiar with COBie standards for data management and asset information exchange.
• Experience with Dynamo BIM for scripting and automating BIM workflows.
• Experience with integrating 4D (scheduling) and 5D (cost estimation) BIM for project coordination and planning.
• Education: Bachelor&aposs degree in Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Certifications in BIM or related software are a plus.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong understanding of structural engineering concepts and BIM workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with a keen attention to detail.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to model coordination and conflict resolution.
• Additional Skills (Preferred):
• Familiarity with other BIM-related software such as Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, or other structural modeling tools.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) is a plus.
