Summary

The Post-Contract MEP QS Engineer plays a key role in managing the financial aspects of MEP projects after contract award, ensuring effective cost control, tracking variations, and assessing contractor claims. This position requires preparation of bills of quantities, financial reports, and project cost management, ensuring that the project remains within budget while meeting all contractual obligations.

The engineer will also monitor the execution of MEP works on-site, ensuring that the costs align with the initial estimations and identifying opportunities for cost optimization. The role involves working closely with project management, procurement teams, and contractors to ensure the project's financial performance is on track.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage post-contract cost control, including tracking project variations and contractor claims.
  • Prepare and review cost reports, financial documents, and cost estimations for MEP works.
  • Ensure that MEP works are executed within budget and monitor any potential cost overruns.
  • Coordinate with project management teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with contract terms.
  • Provide detailed financial updates and reports to senior management.

Job requirements

Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in post-contract quantity surveying for MEP projects.
Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Other Requirements
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to relocate for project site assignments.
