The Position
The Business Development Manager will build and manage strong relationships with key decision-makers, mainly interior designers and major hotel brands across the Middle East. The goal is to win large residential, hospitality, and commercial projects and meet the sales targets.This person will represent the company in these markets and must act in line with local laws and the companys core values.
Key Responsibilities- Build and grow a strong network of contacts, focusing primarily on hotel groups and interior designers, who will be the key focus areas for the Business Development Manager.
- Work closely with sales teams targeting residential developers across the Middle East to promote and secure business for the full range of the companys brands and product lines.
- Identify and connect with key decision-makers to ensure the companys products are specified in relevant projects.
- Participate in technical, design, and commercial discussions with design studios and hospitality brands, while also supporting sales, key account managers, and technical teams in addressing developer or contractor queries as needed.
- Manage relationships with architects and designers involved in key projects, and collaborate with the companys sales team in the Middle East to ensure a smooth handover and maintain product specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
- Plan and lead engagement initiativessuch as presentations or networking eventsfor interior designers, hotel chains, and developers, in coordination with marketing teams and local distributors.
- Drive and support sales opportunities across hospitality, residential, and commercial sectors for all of the companys brands.
- Recommend initiatives, tools, and product strategies that will strengthen business development efforts in the region.
- Organize and participate in joint presentations and meetings with stakeholders to promote the companys product portfolio.
- Ensure consistent and timely follow-up on all project leads and key accounts, in collaboration with internal teams and distribution partners.
- Coordinate the companys involvement in relevant trade shows and industry events.
- Prepare regular reports to guide planning, track progress, and manage budgets effectively.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of ongoing and upcoming projects.
- A university degree in interior design or architecture is preferred. Degrees in marketing or business will also be considered.
- Over 7 years of experience in business development and specification roles, with at least 4 years of proven success in the Middle East market.
- Willing and able to travel frequently across the Middle East, with occasional visits to other regional company offices.
- Fluent in English (required); Arabic is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Has a strong appreciation for product design and aesthetics.
- Well-versed in the Middle East market, with a good understanding of the regions business and cultural landscape.
